Mrs. Barbara Posey Smiley age 67 of Detroit died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at her residence.

Cremation services were handled by Wood Funeral Home of Bogata.

She was born May 12, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Harry Evan and Evalena Hignight Posey. She had worked as an activity director at Burleson nursing home.

She is survived by her three daughters Elizabeth Presley and Jennifer (Presley) Roybal of Ft. Worth and Andrea Presley of Garland, two sisters Norma Baird of Bogata and Imogene Fralix of Detroit along with her brother Billy Posey of Detroit. Seven grandchildren Gregory Smith Jr & wife Melissa Smith of Detroit, Kody Mackechnie, Ryan Mackechnie, Lafonda Presley, DeAnna Underwood, Danny Lee Presley, Dylan Weathers. 2 great-grandchildren Andrew and Jordan Smith.
