Bro. Jim Simmons

Rev James Melvin (Bro. Jim) Simmons, age 78 of Johntown died April 12 at his residence. A memorial service will be held Sunday April 22 at 2:30 pm in Johntown Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Nichols officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Wood Funeral Home of Bogata has charge of arrangements. Rev Simmons pastored Baptist churches all over the United States and did mission work in both Alaska and japan. He is survived by his wife Camille Simmons of Johntown, two sons Rev Mark Simmons of John town and Dr. Jim Simmons of Boulder, Colorado, five grandchildren and three brothers Roger Simmons of Florida and Doug and Art Simmons of Michigan.
