Harold Dean Bogie, age 74 of Bogata, died in Paris Regional Medical Center on Sunday, January 23, 2011 Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the Bogata United Methodist Church of Bogata with Reverend Carol Sparks officiating Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery with Gaylon Legate, Frank Stubblefield, Butch Hervey, Paul Ray Keys, Kenneth Jeffery, and Morris Foster serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Barnard and Gerald Burns. The family will receive friends from 7-8 Monday at the funeral home. He was born on October 17, 1936 in Bogata, the son of Odel and Lorene Gillis Bogie. He married Janie Clifton on July 23, 1955 in Hope, Arkansas. Together they owned and operated Bogies Café in Bogata for many years. He is survived by his wife, Janie of Bogata; daughters, Kathy Gann and husband, Jimmy of Bogata; Karen King and husband, Rodger of Bogata and Kelly Jameson and husband, Robert of Paris; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
