Ronnie Ward Merchant

Ronnie Ward Merchant of Bogata, Texas passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 70 years of age.  He was born March 29, 1949 in Dalby Springs, Texas to Harvey and Mary (Hornbuckle) Merchant.

Ronnie worked for many years for Kingfisher Boat Manufacturing in Clarksville and in later year he drove a truck for Pilgrims.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Barbara Merchant of Bogata, Texas; daughters, Bobbie Ortiz and Stephanie Merchant; grandsons, Marco A Parra, Jr. and his wife, Yoselin Parra and Carlos Ortiz; great granddaughter, Aliyah I. Garrett all of Mount Pleasant, Texas; brothers, Richard Johnson of Oklahoma, and William Doc Estes of Hooks, Texas; sisters, Darlene Shimpock and her husband Tim of Annona, Texas, Carolyn Gibson and her husband Rick, Rosemary Roam and her husband Danny of Daingerfield, Texas and Patricia Matthews of Dekalb; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 21, 2019 in the Chapel at Wood Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at the Bogata Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.
