Troy Haskell Howerton

Troy Haskell Howerton of Bogata, Texas passed away Thursday, October3, 2019 at 76 years of age.  He was born in Portales, New Mexico on May 26, 1943 to Albert and Mary (Roden) Howerton.

Troy graduated from Grant High School; he was a member of the Talco Assembly of God Church where he served as the Adult Sunday School Class.  Troy owned and operated Bogata Paint and Body until his retirement.

He leaves his wife of 56 years, Sharon Howerton of Bogata, Texas; their children, Richard Howerton of Bogata, Texas and Christopher and his wife Amanda Howerton of La Veria, Texas;  one granddaughter, Crystal Howerton ; two great grandchildren, Kymber and Coy Casey; special nephew, Kenneth Howerton and his wife Heather of Pine Branch, Texas; brothers, Wesley Howerton and his wife, Linda of Victoria, Texas, and Edward Howerton and his wife Kathy of Elk Hart, Texas; sisters, Dessie Howerton of Talco and Virgie Fair and her husband Doug of Lubbock, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers.

A memorial service to celebrate Troy’s life will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Talco Assembly of God Church.
