With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Alice Gravatt, who passed away on October 5, 2024, in Paris, Texas. Born on August 16, 1936, in Texas, Alice was a cherished member of the Reno community.
Alice dedicated much of her life to her work at the Paris Golf and Country Club, where she formed lasting relationships and made a significant impact. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her craft will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Darrin and his wife Gwen Hickman, son-in-law Thomas McFarlin, grandsons Tyler McFarlin and David Parks, and her great-grandchildren Lexi Spears, Gavin Spears, Cheyene Parks, and Ava Parks, all of whom were her pride and joy. Alice was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Bumgarner, her daughter Kathy McFarlin, and son Gary Parks, grandson Brandon Spears, and great granddaughter Kelsey Parks.
A graveside service to celebrate Alice's life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Highland Cemetery in Deport, Texas. This service will honor and remember the remarkable life of a woman who touched the lives of so many.
May we find solace in the memories we shared with Alice and the legacy she leaves behind. She will forever remain in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Alice Gravatt. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing you.
