Mr. Howard Edward [Alkie] Sulsar, age 73 of Paris died Monday Dec 10 in Legends Healthcare of Paris A memorial funeral service will be 1pm Saturday December 15 at 1:00 pm at the Christian Fellowship Church, 3130 North Main, Paris, TX with Rev Mark Sanders officiating. Following the service, His urn will be escorted to Bogata Cemetery where his ashes will be interred next to his son and his parents. Wood Funeral Home of Bogata has charge of arrangements. A visitation will be held at Christian Fellowship Church Friday evening from 6-7 pm. Mr. Sulsar was born Oct 5, 1939 in Red River County the son of Gilbert M and Lula Pauline Roberts Sulsar. He was retired from B & W and was formerly a truck driver. He was an avid motorcycle rider. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mary Little a brother G.M. (Jim) Sulsar, two sons Edward Lynn and Donny Ray Sulsar, a son in law Brian McElyea and a brother in law Randy Arnold. He is survived by his four children Andy Sulsar, of Denver Colorado, Tony Sulsar and wife Ann of Bells, Texas, Tammy Sulsar, and Sandy Deupree and husband Alan all of Paris, grandchildren Chris Yates, Chad and Jessica Yates and their father Tim Yates, Britney and Brianna McElyea,Shelby Ford, Jessica and Jerred Sulsar, Breeonna Overman-Sulsar ,Hunter Malone, and Katelyn Kyburz, a brother Jerry Sulsar and a sister Glenda Harper and numerous great grandchildren, nieces nephews and friends.
