Barbara Gail (Smith) Bryant

It is with both sadness and celebration of life that we announce the passing of Barbara Gail Bryant, who entered eternal rest on April 10, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on February 18, 1963, in Japan, Barbara brought joy to her family and friends throughout her life, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Barbara was a vibrant spirit who carved her own path in the world of retail business. Her entrepreneurial drive was matched only by her loving nature, as she cultivated relationships with her customers and the community around her. Raised in Bogata, Barbara lived and worked in Louisiana, Arkansas, and Alabama before most recently to her hometown. 

Surviving Barbara are her beloved sister-in-law, Lisa Smith, and her treasured nephews and niece, Alex and Chris Smith, and Ashley Smith, great nieces, Aurora, Gwyn, and Juna Smith, and one great nephew, Kellan Britt, special friends, Eyvette Alford and Carol Danoff-Bryant. Their shared memories and love will continue to celebrate the remarkable person that Barbara was. Barbara was preceded in death by parents, George Sr. and Jean Smith, and her brother Dr. George Smith Jr.

Visitation will take place at the Wood-Haggard Funeral Home in Bogata on April 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather and share their fond remembrances of Barbara. Following the viewing, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at the same venue, where we will honor Barbara's legacy and the joy she brought into our lives. Her final resting place will be at the Bogata Cemetery.

As we reflect on Barbara's life, let us cherish the moments we shared with her, honoring her spirit with laughter, love, and unity. Though she has departed from our sight, she will forever remain in our hearts.
