It is with both sadness and celebration that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Kelley, who left this world peacefully on February 13, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on May 14, 1947, in Irving, Texas, Barbara spent her life rooted in the values of hard work, love, and community. She embraced her journey as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara dedicated her life to her family and providing for her 3 children, Keith, Kenneth and Kimberly Kelley.
She leaves behind her sons, Keith Kelley and fiancé Janiece Black and Kenneth Kelley and Johnna Perkins. She was a proud grandmother to her seven cherished grandchildren: Jennifer, Diana, Selena, Yamel, Blake, Kendall, Kamron, and great-grandchildren Aaliyah and Zayden. Her family was the centerpiece of her life, and her warmth and nurturing spirit will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to know her. Barbara is also survived by her beloved sister, Alice Mayfield, sister-in-law Kayrene Kelley Smither and brother-in-law Rick Grunbaum and his wife Lin who shared many precious memories with her throughout the years.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Kelley, parents Edgar and Sallie Lynch and by her daughter, Kimberly Kelley.
Barbara’s life was a testament to resilience and joy, and she will be remembered for her unwavering love, strength, and the laughter she brought to those around her.
In celebration of her extraordinary life, we invite family and friends to gather for a time of visitation on Thursday, February 19, 2026, 6:00 – 8:00PM followed by a funeral service at the First United Methodist Church in Bogata, Texas, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Cypress Cemetery in Franklin County. This will be a time to honor and reflect on the beautiful legacy Barbara leaves behind.
Though she will be deeply missed, Barbara's spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her memory will be cherished forever.
