Betty Ford, age 79 of Bogata died Thursday July 21 in Brentwood Terrace Healthcare in Paris. Funeral arrangements have been scheduled for 11:00am on Saturday, July 23 in the First Baptist Church of Bogata with Reverend Billy Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in Bogata Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11am at the church on Saturday.
She was born Jan 15,1932 in Red River County the daughter of Luther and Jewell Monkhouse Lewis. She married Oran Lee Ford Aug 26,1948 He preceded her in death July 3,2003. She was a retired seamstress and worked for a number of years at Brooks Uniform Company and Red Cap of Clarksville. She is survived by two daughters Cathy Whitney and husband Johnny of Minter and Kay Bell and husband Mack of Bogata, one son Jackie Ford and wife Deborah of DeKalb, grandchildren, Jason Fines, Kaylen and Dustin Pegg all of Bogata, John and Tasha Bell of Hillsboro, Chance and Becca Whitney of Pattonville, Ashley and Georgia Ford of DeKalb and Daniel and Christine Ford of Houston, great grandchildren Laney Bell,Eli and Ellie Pegg, and two sisters Joyce Igo of Bogata and Sue Dillow of Cuthand
