Mrs. Billie Corbell Welch, age 84 formerly of Blossom died Thursday Sept 6 in West Place Nursing Home in Athens, Funeral services will be held 3pm Sat Sept 8 under the Pavilion of Bogata Cemetery with Rev Carol Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Bogata Cemetery under direction of Wood Funeral Home. Mrs. Welch was born October 16, 1927 in Clarksville the daughter of William Jester and Annie Ruby Stevens Corbell. She married Horace Welch in Odessa Texas. He preceded her in death July 22, 1999. She was also preceded in death by two sisters Chrystine Baker and Dorothy Tremere and two brothers Roy Lynn and W.J. (Dude) Corbell. Survivors include two daughters Sue Miars and husband Bob of Athens and Mary Ann Welch of Clarksville, a son Ron Welch and wife Nora of Mesquite, one brother Tommy Corbell and wife Glenda of Bogata, Peggy Yale and husband Bo and Nina Smith and husband Doyle all of Dallas and Carol Ann Baker and husband Bill of Athens two grandchildren and two great granddaughters Online condolences may be made at www.woodfuneralhomes.com
