Charles Wayne Bybee, beloved father and Army veteran, passed away on November 19, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on March 28, 1931, in Milton, Texas.
He is survived by his three loving daughters, Gail and her husband Milton Davis, Julie and her husband, Brad Garrett, and Lisa and her husband Dean Bartlett; grandchildren, Annette and Clay Smith, Ashley Smith, Misty Wallace, Waylon and Mindy Wallace, Casey Brothers, Courtney Brothers, and Ethan Bartlett; great grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Andrew Smith, Garrett Smith, Rance Smith, Preston Smith, Cooper Smith, Peyton Smith, Kailee Hibdon, Macie Woody, Laramie Woody, Ashton Wallace, Braden Wallace, Cotten Wallace, Isabella Brothers, Rosie Brothers, and Sophia Brothers; great-great grandchildren, Knox, Kennedy, Kiestyn, Harper, Cole and Briggin who will fondly remember his sense of humor and unwavering love for his family. Charles is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Bybee, his grandparents, J.J. and Ora Bybee and his wife DeLois Bybee.
Charles enlisted in the Army on March 19, 1953, serving with honor until his discharge on March 17, 1955.
A time for friends and family will be held on November 23, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Wood-Haggard Funeral Home in Bogata, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm, also at Wood-Haggard Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Union Grove Cemetery in Reno, Texas.
