It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daylyn Dean Coggins, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left us too soon on November 4, 2025, at the tender age of 17. Daylyn was born in Paris, Texas, on February 5, 2008, and lived most of his life in Talco, Texas. He was a bright spirit whose passion for mechanics was shown through his work in the automotive industry, where he shared his talent with those around him.
Daylyn was cherished by those fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his loving mother, Jorgina Zator and J.P. Zator, and by his devoted father, Christopher Coggins. He was a proud brother to Travis, Trevor, Landyn, and Kingston Zator, and his sister, Elizabeth Ruiz, as well as his caring aunts, uncles and cousins. Daylyn's legacy will also live on through his close-knit family, including his grandparents—Joseph and Kelly Lindsey, Tina and Kenneth Ingram, Lisa and Josh Bennett, Carolyn Coggins, and great grandmother Jewel Harper—who all loved him deeply.
A visitation for family and friends will take place at Wood-Haggard Funeral Home on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, where all are encouraged to come and share their memories of Daylyn. A ceremony that will celebrate the vibrant life he lived and the joy he brought to all those around him will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Wood-Haggard Funeral Home in Bogata, Texas, a ceremony that will celebrate the vibrant life he lived and the joy he brought to all those around him.
