Delisa Genette Duffie, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on January 7, 2024, in Paris, Texas. She was born on February 8, 1968, in Clarksville, Texas, to her adoring parents, Billie Jane and Michael.
Delisa's life was defined by her unwavering love and dedication to her family. As a devoted mother, she leaves behind her loving sons, Kyle Duffie and his fiance' Jessica, and Robert Waldrip. She was also a cherished life partner to Lynn Waldrip and a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren, Dannaka, Isabella, and Ruger. Delisa's memory will forever live on in their hearts.
Delisa devoted many years of her life to the healthcare industry, working diligently at Honey Grove Nursing Home. Her kind-hearted nature and genuine compassion made her a favorite among both the patients and her colleagues.
Though Delisa faced challenges in her formal education, she persevered with determination and strength. She attended school from 9th to 12th grade at Rivercrest High School, demonstrating her willingness to learn and grow.
On January 9, 2024, there will be a time of visitation to honor Delisa's life at Wood-Haggard Funeral Home in Bogata, Texas, starting at 6:00 pm. Then, on January 13, 2024, a memorial service will take place at the same location at 10:00 am. This solemn event will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and loved ones to gather and pay tribute to Delisa's extraordinary life, sharing memories and finding solace in each other's support.
In honoring Delisa's religious faith, she was a devout member of the Baptist congregation. Her unwavering spirituality was a source of inspiration and comfort to those who knew her.
Delisa will be profoundly missed by her dear mother, Billie Jane and Floyd Noey; father, Michael and Susan Wright; siblings, Jammy Wright, Todd Wright, Devin Wright, and Rachel Wright; and step-brothers, Toliver Noey and Will Noey. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Sammy and Jane Davis, and paternal grandparents, Robbie and Clarence Wright. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those they left behind.
The loss of Delisa Genette Duffie leaves an indescribable void in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her selflessness, unwavering love, and compassionate nature will continue to inspire and guide us through the difficult times ahead. May she rest in eternal peace.
