Donnie Ray Whitaker, age of 72 passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026 at his residence in Kilgore, Texas. He was born on December 5, 1953, in Fort. Worth, Texas to Luther and Betty Jean Whitaker.


Donnie was a jack of all trades, known for his skills as a handyman and his hardworking spirit. He spent his life dedicated to general labor, always lending a hand wherever it was needed. He had a kind heart and a great sense of humor, which brightened the days of those around him.


He is survived by his spouse, Marilyn Brumbeck, who was by his side through thick and thin, sharing countless memories and adventures together. Their love was a testament to the enduring bond they shared. He also leaves his nieces Belinda Davis and Amanda Howerton, nephew, David Whitaker, and long time family friend Reba Clark.


 Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Ernie, Jimmy, Nelda and Genevia.


Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM June 1, 2026 at the Turner Cemetery,to bring friends and family together to celebrate Donnie's life and honor his memory. Details about the ceremony will be shared soon, as we gather to remember the laughter, love, and joy that Donnie brought into our lives.
