Dorothy Kate Mauldin, age 92, departed this world peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026. Dorothy was born on August 31, 1933, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, and spent her life dedicated to her family and the warmth of her home.

A devoted mother, Dorothy was the heart of her household, nurturing her beloved sons, Thomas, Robert and Derrell Mauldin, with unwavering love and support. She cherished every moment spent with her family, fostering bonds that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Dorothy's life was one of quiet strength and profound kindness. She touched the lives of many in her community, effortlessly weaving threads of compassion and warmth wherever she went. Her legacy will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Dorothy was a devoted employee of Apple Computer serving as an assembly operator.

Dorothy leaves behind her two sons; Robert Mauldin and his wife, Sandy and Derrell Mauldin, 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, and her brother, Harvey Anderson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Geneva and Monroe Anderson, husband, Tommy Mauldin, son, Wade Mauldin, siblings, Virginia Mullin, Lucy Davis, David Anderson, Roy Anderson, Mona Wilder.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon June 23, 2026, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wood-Haggard Funeral Home, allowing friends and family to gather in remembrance and celebration of Dorothy's life. This will be followed by a funeral service on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM, in the chapel of the funeral home, where we will honor her memory and the indelible mark she left on our lives. Following the service, Dorothy will be laid to rest at the Bogata Cemetery.
