ELIZABETH [BESS] RUTHARDT

Bess Ruthardt age 93 formerly of Bogata died Sat May 19 IN Golden Villa Nursing Home in Atlanta. Funeral services will be 2pm Wed May 23 in Bogata United Methodist Church with Rev Bob Bush officiating assisted by Rev Carol Sparks. Burial will be in Cuthand Cemetery under direction of Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Mrs. Ruthardt was born Dec 2, 1918 in Cuthand Texas the daughter of Wilie Dee and Della Eudy House. She was a retired Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked for several years at Groom Hospital in Groom Texas and when she and her husband retuned to Red River County worked at Red River Haven Nursing Home. She was a longtime active member of Bogata United Methodist Church. She married Manuel Ruthardt July 13, 1935 in Cuthand. He preceded her in death May 13, 1993 She was also preceded in death by two grandsons Kim Currie and William Ruthardt a son Arletus Ruthardt, three brothers Carl, Dale and Gordon House and two sisters Reabeth Abbott and Jettie Mae Bond Mrs. Ruthardt is survived by two sons Bill and wife Judy Ruthardt of Linden, Texas, Louis and Judy Ruthardt of Groom, Texas and a daughter Almeta Currie and husband Dwain of Linden; 14 Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren
