Earl E Townes

Earl Eugene Townes was born on March 6, 1925, in Wilburton, Oklahoma to Richard and Jewel (Hicks) Townes.  He entered into eternal rest on December 23,2021, in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

Earl was married to Ruby Louise Gee on July 11, 1945, in Clarksville, Texas, they were married for 52 years. To this union two children were born, Bennie Mack and Margaret Ann. Earl work for many years for Phillips Industries in Clarksville and retired to be a full-time rancher. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Bogata.

Earl is survived by his two children and their spouses, Bennie Mack and Cathy Townes of the Lone Star Community and Margaret Ann and Harold Rhea of Mount Vernon, Texas; grandchildren, Randy Rhea, Trina Jones, Michelle Street, Justin Townes and Dusty Goodman; six great grandchildren, Brianna, Payton, Brett, Madeline, Claire, and Raphael, and one great great on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Louise, brothers, Dellon, Rubin and Dee; sisters, Hallie, Polly Townes and Betty Lou Horton.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 26, 2021, at the Pavilion at Bogata Cemetery. Bro. Don Shovan will officiate.
