Eva Joyce Ponnequin

Mrs. Eva Joyce Ponnequin, age 70 of Paris died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services are 11am, Monday, December 19 at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Blake officiating. Interment will be at Bogata Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Homes of Bogata. The family will receive friends Sunday 4-5pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Ponnequin was born January 3, 1941 in Rugby, Texas the daughter of John Ira and Lizzie Opal Barnes Brodie. On January 25, 1958 she married John Ponnequin in Rosenburg, Texas. She is survived by her husband, John Ponnequin of Paris; her children, Kathlyn Galloway and husband, Ron of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Steven Ponnequin and wife, Marlene of McAlester, Oklahoma, Dale Ponnequin and wife, Stephanie of Bunnlevel, North Carolina and Brian Ponnequin and wife, Christy of Arlington; four brothers, Bobby Earl Brodie of Livingston, Kenneth Brodie of Angleton, Grady Dean Brodie of Houston, Thomas Brodie of League City; one sister, Opal Yvonne Farrar of Houston; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
