Ruby Lafern Patton, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, TX. She was born on April 1, 1941, in Cuthand, TX, to Marvin and Eula May (Mauldin) Patton. Ruby will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Ruby's dedication to caring for children led her to a fulfilling career in the childcare industry. Her warmth, patience, and love made her an exceptional daycare provider, touching the lives of countless children throughout the years. Ruby's nurturing spirit and passion for nurturing the young souls around her will be remembered by all.
Surviving her are her loving daughter Marla and J.D. Moss, daughter Rebecca and James Reynolds, grandchildren Sean and Brittney Gulley, Miranda Thomas, Angelica and Trevor Shaw, Noah Moss, great-grandchildren Henry Shaw, Ryan Shaw, and Jade Gulley, and by her sister, Johnnie Yarborough. Ruby's memory will forever be cherished by her family, who have been blessed to have her in their lives. She is preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Amber Gulley and by her siblings, Cecil, Marshall, Patricia, Lillie, Mattie, Linnie, and Goldie.
A celebration of Ruby's life will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM, at the Wood-Haggard Funeral Home in Bogata, Texas. . Ruby's final resting place will be in the Cuthand Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest in a peaceful burial.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by Wood-Haggard Funeral Home - Bogata, who can be contacted for further details and to offer condolences to the family.
Although we mourn the loss of Ruby, we take solace in knowing that she is now in eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her. Her memory will continue to live on in our hearts and minds forever.
