Gene Abbott

Mr. Gene Abbott age 71 of Bogata died Saturday February 9, 2013 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday February 12 at First Assembly of God Church with Toby Abbott and Donnie Childers officiating. Burial will be in Cuthand Cemetery under direction of Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Zack Barnes, Seth Foux, Dave Morris, Caleb Abbott, Tom Modisett , Nick Gross, Hunter Abbott Morris and Tyler Childers.

Mr. Abbott was born March 16, 1941 in Dallas Texas the son of Medford Floyd and Vera Boyd Abbott. He was a retired homebuilder.

He is survived by his wife Diana Abbott of Bogata; three daughters, Kelly Modisett of Abilene , Terri Abbott and Robbi Morris both of Amarillo; one son Toby Abbott of Terrell; three stepchildren, Jason Foux of Beaumont, Seth Foux of Bogata and Aaron Foux of Olympia, Washington; nine grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; four great grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.
