George Edward Payne

George Edward Payne of Bogata, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024.  He was born in the Oil Spring Community of Nacogdoches County, Texas the son of Edgar and Winona (Husband) Payne.

George was a former employee of Nacogdoches County.  He honorably served our country in the United States Army.

Left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy is his son Jason and Misty Thomas, grandchildren, Leif Thomas, Liam Thomas, Lincoln Thomas, Gabrielle Thomas and Tristan Fuller, brothers, Steve and Roy Dale Payne, sisters, Elaine Figueroa and Deloris Gage, and numerous nieces and nephews. George is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Penny Payne, brother Glenn, Joe, and Robert Payne.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
