Howard Harper Jr

Howard Harper, Jr. of Avery, Texas passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, while enjoying his favorite pastime, flying his plane.  He was born on January 5, 1956, in Clarksville, Texas, the son of Howard Sr. and Helen (Proctor) Harper.

Howard was a consultant for the oil fields.  He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. 

Left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy are his four beautiful daughters, Lacy and her husband, Toliver Noey of Royse City, Texas, Danielle and her husband Chris Wilson of Dallas, Texas, Kacey Harper of Royse City, Texas and McKynzi Harper of Texarkana; his 2 grandsons, Tatum and Trevor Noey; sisters, Shirley Miller of Bogata, Texas and Janet Sipes of Tucson, Arizona.   He is preceded in death by his parents; his precious granddaughter, Taylin  Noey; brothers, Jerry Harper, Charles and Barbara Harper, Benjamin Harper,  Rickey and Jennifer Harper; sister, Nancy Phillips; nieces, Mandy Harper Knelsen and Gerianne Holley; nephew, Chris Phillips; brother-in-law, Carrol Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 13, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Bogata.  Interment will follow at the Bogata Cemetery.  Pastor Roddy Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Wood Haggard Funeral Home in Bogata.
