Ina Marie (Hume) Ward

Ina M. Ward, 92 of Bowie and formerly of Bogata, died on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Independence Hall Assisted Living.  Funeral Services have been scheduled for Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the First Baptist Church of Bogata with Dr. Bryan Morgan officiating.  Burial will follow in Halesboro Cemetery.  The Family will receive friends from 12-1PM at the Church prior to services.  Wood Funeral Homes, Bogata have charge of the arrangements.

She was born in Cunningham, Texas, on August 15, 1925, the daughter of Leslie Irving and Bessie Galbraith Hume.  She married Carl Lindsey Ward on July 19, 1942, in Douglas, Arizona.  He preceded her in death on January 8, 2014.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Madlyn Jones on October 17, 1975.  She was a Sunday School Teacher for many years and an active and longtime member of the First Baptist Church; was an excellent seamstress and artist and excelled in math skills. 

Survivors include her son, Mike Ward and wife, Sharon of Bowie; her daughter, Melissa Morgan and husband, Bryan of Hurst; 4 grandsons:  Ward Jones, Christopher Morgan, Andrew Morgan, and James Morgan; great-granddaughter Kaya Limontha Madelyn Jones.
