James Weldon Allen, a beloved pastor, devoted father, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on July 13, 1931, in Texas, James lived a life rich in faith, love, and service to others.
As a devout pastor, James dedicated his life to guiding others on their spiritual journeys, imparting wisdom and kindness to all who crossed his path. The warmth of his spirit touched countless lives, and his legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire future generations.
James is survived by his loving family, including his sons, Rickey, Billy, and Harold Allen, as well as his daughters-in-law, Sharon and Linda Allen. Grandchildren, Hagan, Daniel, Robert, Brandi, Laci, Justin, Billy, Stephen, and Jessica, Numerous great grandchildren, and multiple great great grandchildren. His unwavering devotion to his family was evident in every interaction, and his legacy will live on in their hearts and actions.
James is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Loretta Allen, daughters, Rita, Debbie, Stella, Della, and Belinda and by his sister, Wanetta Barnes.
A graveside service will be held at Restland Cemetery in Cunningham on April 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing James are invited to celebrate his remarkable life, sharing stories and memories that reflect his spirit and enduring impact on those he loved.
