James L. Brown

Mr. James L. Brown, age 86 of Bogata, died on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his residence. Graveside Services have been scheduled for Wednesday, December 26 at 11:00am in Bogata Cemetery with Reverend Ray Evers officiating and Nick Brown, Buck Jones, Danny Jackson and Mike King serving as pallbearers. Wood Funeral Homes, Bogata have charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11am. Mr. Brown was born on June 25, 1926 in Franklin County, Texas near Daphane Prairie, the son of Morris and Della Elizabeth Gorman Brown. He married Mary Evelyn Harper in 1946 in Bogata. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Louise Dean Brown in 1957. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Bogata; son, Frank Frown of Bogata; grandson, Jamie Brown of Forney; two brothers, Jerry Brown of Talco and Morris Ellis Brown of Sugar Hill.
