Jim Ed Lee

Jim Ed Lee of Bogata, Texas passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 81 years of age.  He was born in Red River County, Texas on June 1st, 1941, the only child of J.N. and Maudie (Buster) Lee.

Jim lived in Bogata all his life, working and raising his family. He was a farmer and a truckdriver, having logged over 3 million miles without an accident.  Jim married the love of his life Sandra Tompt and to their union three children were born.

Left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy are his wife, Sandra Lee of Bogata, Texas; children, Vicki Myers, Michael and Kristie Lee and Christina Heichelheim all of Bogata, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Misti Gomez, Lee Castle, Drake Castle, Tiffany Vaughan, Brandon Jones, Kimberlynn Lee and Makayla Lee; 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and by a daughter, Lajuanna Castle.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 26, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Bogata.  Interment will follow at the Bogata Cemetery.  Bro. Jeff Duvall will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday evening at Wood-Haggard Funeral Home-Bogata.
