Jimmy Larry Clifton gained his wings on November 26, 2023, at Paris Regional Hospital in Paris, Texas. Jimmy was born December 7, 1939, in Rugby, Texas to Curtis and Lizzie Lee Slaton Clifton. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force with the rank of SSGT, serving eight years.
Jimmy retired from Campbell Soup, then taught at Paris Junior College. He was a member of Chisum Trail Cowboy Church. He loved the great outdoors, nature, and animals. He was very artistic and enjoyed music and dance when the occasion was presented.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, son Scott and Shirley Clifton, granddaughter Nichole (Jason Bolton), Megan Clifton, four great-grandsons, Isaak Elijah Bolton, Heath Elrod, Spencer Massey, Robert and Patricia Reed, Dixie Reed, Emalee Newberry, wife Patricia, stepchildren, Richard McIntire, Thad and Leisa Thompson, Tammy and Gary Bridgers.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on December 6, 2023, at the Wood-Haggard Funeral Home in Deport, TX, where a public viewing will be held at 1:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm, offering an opportunity for all who knew and loved Jimmy to honor his life and share cherished memories.
