Jimmy Don Hodges

Jimmy Don “J.D.” Hodges, age 60, of Paris, Texas, passed away on March 27, 2019 with his loving family at his side. Jimmy’s family will receive friends on Friday April 5, 2019 at the Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Bogata from 6 Pm until 8 PM, there will be a private family interment at Marris Chapel Cemetery on a later date.

Jimmy was born on March 6, 1959 to Jim and Louise (Martin) Hodges in Altus, Oklahoma. He enjoyed as a youth, always shadowing his granddaddy J.G. Hodges, and making his life driving the big trucks that he and J.G.  spent so much time around. He will be fondly remembered as one who enjoyed horses, fishing and tinkering with anything that had a motor. All any of his kids or Grandkids had to do was start to ask for help, and J.D. was there on the spot!

Surviving family includes his wife Beverly (Atnip) Hodges of Blossom, Texas; his father, Jim Hodges of Rugby, Texas: Daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Jordy Rosson of Paris, Texas, Jenny and Cody McNeal of Midway, Texas, Melody and Daniel McCoy of Paris, Texas, and Tanya and Jason Mobley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Brothers Mark and his wife Dale Hodges of Grantsville, Utah, and Joseph Hodges of Paris, Texas; sister, Kaye and her husband Ricky Cooper of Clardy, Texas; grandchildren, Tressie Rosson, Paisley and Jace McNeal, Kaylyn and Zack McCoy, Abby, Jaycee, Lane and Makenzie Mobley. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Louise in 2015.
