It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jimmy Earl Whitaker, who was born on February 21, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas. Jimmy left us peacefully at his home in Kilgore, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and authenticity that will be dearly missed.
Jimmy was a dedicated man who spent many years working in the poultry processing industry with Pilgrims Pride. Although he didn’t have a formal diploma, his hard work and determination spoke volumes about his character. He was known for his friendly nature and the unwavering support he offered his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving brother, Donnie Whitaker, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Brumback, as well as his cherished daughter, Barbara Whitaker, as a host of nieces and nephews. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Whitaker and Betty Whitaker, daughter, Corrina Whitaker, brother, Ernest Whitaker, and sisters, Geneva Whitaker and Nelda Whitaker. Jimmy’s warmth and humor left a lasting impact on those who knew him, and his spirit will live on in their hearts.
A graveside service to celebrate Jimmy's life will take place at Turner Cemetery on May 19, 2025, at 1:30 PM. We invite all those who knew him to come and share stories, memories, and laughter as we honor a truly remarkable man.
Rest in peace, Jimmy. You will always be remembered and cherished.
