John Paul Johnson

.We are saddened to share that John Paul Johnson, a beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the age of 63. John was born on December 2, 1961, in Williams, Arizona, and found his way to Bogata, Texas, where he made his home.

John was known for his hardworking spirit as a truck driver for Boss Hauling Inc., a job he took pride in for many years. He may not have earned a diploma but always had a wealth of life experience that made him wise beyond his years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jacque Johnson, daughter Misty Rouse, stepchildren, Kim Lusk and her husband Mike ,and John Anderson and his wife Deidra, step-grandchild Cody McFeely, who will miss him deeply. John is also survived by his brothers, Herschel Johnson, Tony Baker, and Mark Johnson, sister-inlaw, Debbi McCarrell-Stringfellow who cherish the memories they shared. John was preceded in death by his parents, John Weldon and Pauline Virgina (Benton)Johnson, brother, Graylon Baker, sister, Peggy Johnson, sisters-in-law, Janice Baker, Janice Baker, and Brenda Johnson, also by a niece, Heather Johnson.

Memorial services will be held Saturday April 19, 2025, at the Bogata Community Center from 2:00 until 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate the man we all cherished. Specific details about the date and location will be shared shortly, and we encourage anyone who knew John to join us as we remember him.
Rest in peace, John. You touched many lives, and you will be sorely missed.
