John A Waterbury

John was born in Lachine, Canada in 1944, to Wallace Helliwell and Lillian Helliwell-Roch. At seven years old, John was adopted by Kenneth and Betty Waterbury. John had six siblings: Wallace Helliwell (Erika), Linda Hilley, Diane Jacobs (Don), Ronald Roch (Margarite), Richard Roch, and Simone Roch-Vahon (Roger). He had fifteen nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother, Wallace and his sister Linda.

John married the love of his life, Sandy Waterbury. Together, he and Sandy had a beautifully blended family, with seven children between them, Darren (Cheryl), Sherrell (Mike), Nita (David), Paul (Jennifer), Casey (Aleesha), Heather (Jeremy), Ashleigh (Alex).

John had fifteen grandchildren, Alishia, Nicholas, J.P., Sarah, Jamie, Kayla, Michael, Ashton, Savannah, Pam, Sam, Tegan, Elora, Gunner, and Brentlea. John also had fourteen great-grandchildren.

John had a great love for music and playing his guitar, he also enjoyed travelling with his favorite person, Sandy. John loved his animals and his family with his whole heart.

A memorial service will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Pattonville Baptist Church.
