Josephine Ann Harrison passed away on August 14th, 2024, after a long convalescent due to a broken hip. Josephine, loving known as Gigi by her family, was 104 years old. She was in at home hospice, under the loving care of her middle daughter Margaret Haynes for the past 2 1/2 years.
Josephine was born on May 26, 1920, to Edward and Katherine Scollard in Ponca City, Nebraska. She was the youngest of 6 children and was raised on a working farm. She was very proud of her Irish heritage, loved garage sales, The Dollar Store, watching Dancing with the Stars, country music and her cats Bobby and Miss Kitty. Josephine loved to cook, bake bread, knit and grow the most beautiful healthy plants. There was never a plant that she could not revive. Most of all she loved her family. Her 3 daughters, grandkids and great grandkids were her life.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Floyd Harley Harrison, three son-in-laws, Virgil Tennyson, Kenneth Harrison, Charles Linxwiler her beloved granddaughter Donna Harrison, along with her 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Linxwiler, Margaret Haynes and Mary Eigbrett, 3 grandchildren, Rick Tennyson, Jeanie Harrison, Julie Kemp, and 4 great grandchildren, Emily Harrison, Jake Tennyson, Ann Marie Kemp and Walter Kemp.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 3300 Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas 75462.
The family of Josephine give a heartful thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice, and especially to Jamie and Sheena, and an abundance of appreciation to Teresa, Judy & others from Our Lady of Victory Catholic church for visiting her regularly at home.
Josephine will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew her.
