Kathryn Kidd Winters

Kathryn Kidd Winters, 77, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 in Richardson, TX. She was born in Rosalie, TX on September 24, 1933. Kathryn was the daughter of Buck and Emmie Kidd of Rosalie, TX. Kathryn attended Bogata Public Schools, Paris Jr. College and North Texas State University where she received a Bachelor of Education degree in 1954. While in college, she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. After graduation, her first job was with Proctor and Gamble in Dallas, TX as a secretary. She then was married and became a first and second grade teacher with schools in Vidor, TX; Kansas City, KS; Bartlesville, and Tulsa, OK. After retirement from teaching school, Kathryn's hobbies were tennis and golf. She enjoyed many rounds of golf with her husband of 36 years, Rayford W. Winters of Tulsa. Kathryn Kidd Winters is survived by her son Sam G. McGee; wife, Elizabeth J. McGee and daughters, Grace and Emma of Richardson, TX; sister, Mary Willis Lee of Metairie, LA; niece, Marian Giangrosso, her husband Jerry and children Melissa and Gerard. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents George "Buck" Kidd and Emmie Garren Kidd; brother-in-law, Maxie Turner Lee; nephew, Maxie Lee Jr.; husband, Rayford W. Winters.
