Kay Belle Henry of Hagansport, Texas passed away Friday, January 6, 2023, in Paris, Texas. She was born in South West City, Missouri on November 2, 1937, to James Ethridge and Edrie Iola (Duncan) Allen.
Kay met the love of her life while roller skating at Camp Crowder, Missouri. She and “Jack’ were married on April 16, 1952, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Jack was a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army. Being the wife of a Commissioned Officer required special duties of its own.
Kay was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother with her great grandbabies being the apple of her eye. Kay loved the Lord with all her heart and her home church was Lake Chapel in Hagansport. She loved teaching Sunday School and hosting numerous Sunday School events. She was very musically inclined, loving to play her guitar and harmonica and singing in church. She had a great compassion for people with special needs.
Left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are her children, Cindy and Douglas Feuge of Talco, Texas, Colin J and Lisa Henry of Dallas, Texas, Jackqulyn and James Erwin of Dallas, Texas, Anndelyn and Cary Guess of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Jeri Jean and Joe Williams of Talco, Texas, and John Wayne Henry of Talco, Texas; daughter-in-law, Gayla Henry of Talco; grandchildren, Connie Kay Walker, Carrie Lanora Yocum, Jamie Barrera, Justin Feuge, Dana Leigh Henry, Morgan Denae Henry, Luke Henry, Monica Minter, James Jackson Clark, Whitney Kelsey, Andrea Brewer, Justin Clark, Kelsey Clark, Amber Guess, Dalton Guess, Joseph Williams, Miriam Houston, Dayton Lee Henry, Cole Jackson Henry, and Julia Keeter; great grandchildren, Nathan Taylor, Vancidee Minter, Bianca Mayo, Mary Ramirez, Zeke Clark, Zayne Brewer, Evelyn Clark, Isabella Scott, Jaeda Scott, Sapphira Houston, Arabella Houston, Xantyn Williams, Kopelynn Williams, and Wylyn Williams; brothers, Charlie, Claude and Bob Allen; sister, Mattie Bauer. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew Jackson Henry; son, Joe Allen Henry; brothers, Elden and Chester Allen; sisters, Louella Brashier, Blanche Frye, and Emma Ann Pennington.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday January 11, 2023, at Lake Chapel with Bro. Paul Newby officiating. Interment will follow at the Hagansport Cemetery under the careful direction of Wood-Haggard Funeral Home, Bogata. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday January 10, 2023, at the funeral home located at 414 N Main Street, Bogata, Texas.
