Leslie Denae (Booker) Morgan-Smith

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leslie Morgan-Smith, who brought light and joy to the lives of everyone she encountered. She was born July 26, 1973, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, Leslie lived a life marked by her unwavering compassion and dedication to helping others. As a devoted professional in health and human services, she made a significant impact in her community, advocating for those in need and tirelessly working to improve the lives of countless individuals.

Leslie was not just a professional; she was the life of the party, known for her infectious laughter and her ability to bring people together. Her vibrant spirit and warmth will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving spouse, Dakota Smith, and her cherished siblings, Freddy and Gloria Booker, Matthew and Crystal Speir. Leslie's legacy also lives on through her beloved nieces and nephews: Bailey Booker, Reagan, Rowdy, Audrey, Audie, and Holden Speir, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, Linda Horn and Charles Booker, step-father Jimmy Speir.

Leslie's family invites you to join them in celebrating her life and honoring her with a memorial service on Friday at 10:00 am, June 13, 2025, at the Pathway Church of God in Paris, Texas, where friends and family will gather to share stories, reflect on her profound impact, and find solace in one another during this difficult time.  

Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, and her legacy will continue through the kindness she inspired in those who loved her. Rest in peace, dear Leslie. You will be missed more than words can convey.
