Mrs. Mary Marie Crafts age 86 of Bogata died at her daughters residence in Bogata Friday May 20, 2011 Funeral services will be 2pm Monday May 23 at Bogata Church of God with her Grandson Shawn Tully and Sister Ethel Elrod officiating. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery near Talco under direction of Wood Funeral Home with John Smith, John Buchanan II, James Tully, Shane Crafts, Jason Hanson, Sammy Newsom; Robert Tully and Marty Fields serving as active pallbearers and Joe Tully, Jeremy Hanson and Bo Newsom serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Crafts was born Jan 18, 1925 in Red River County Texas the daughter of Harmon Hugh Brown and Josie Eliza Staton Brown. She married Alton Louie Crafts June 28, 1941 in Mt Vernon. He died Dec 3, 1982. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Johnnie Kidd, two grandsons Louie Ray Henderson and Jerry Trae Beverlin, a great grandson Jon Randall Newsome II and a granddaughter Mary Debra Henderson.; 6 brothers; 3 sisters. She is survived by three daughters Louise Henderson and husband Lester of Dallas, Margaret Newsom of Mt Vernon and Martha Elrod of Bogata, nine grandchildren, Michelle Hanson and husband Roger, James Tully and wife Peggy, Shawn Tully, Joe Tully, Stacie Newsome and husband, Jon, Josie Tully, Amanda Pierce and husband, Bryan; Shane Crafts and wife, Heather, Bo Newsom; sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, two sister-in-laws, Katy Brown and Mildred Brown Whitworth; a special niece Margie Sue Smith and special nephews the Cannon boys. She was a homemaker, and worked as an Aide for Jordan's Health Services. She loved working outside in her garden and especially in her flowers. She loved her family above all else except her love for the Lord. Mama we love you and miss you, but know you're in a better place. A special thank you to Jullie Davidson for the love and care you gave to Mama.
