Martha Ann Deaton Mills of Talco, Texas passed away Friday evening at her home surrounded by her children.  She was born on January 21, 1939 in the Bridges Chapel Community in Titus County to Johnnie C. and Mattie (Morgan) Cabell.

Martha was a former insurance agent for American National Life and a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Martha is survived by her three sons, Terry Deaton of Talco, Texas, Edward and Laura Deaton of Rivercrest Heights, Texas, and Johnny Charles and Amy Deaton of Monticello, Texas; her grandchildren, Andrew and Karley Deaton, Terri Lynn and Eric Adams, Jeremy and Cassie Deaton, Joshua Deaton, Lexi Gaddis, and Cannon Vaughn; 5 great grandchildren; her brother, Aubrey Dean and Wanda Jean Cabell of Talco, Texas; and her sister, Phyllis Joyce Finch of Grand Prairie, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Edward William Deaton; and sisters, Faye Smith, Frances Richeson, and Sybil Jo Whitney.

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 27, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Belcher Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Wood Funeral Home in Bogata.
