Martha Verlene Duffee, a beloved member of the Bogata community, will be fondly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. Born on October 28, 1935, in Clarksville, Texas. Martha peacefully passed away on August 31, 2024, at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a dedicated employee at the Red River Army Depot and a member of the Bogata Missionary Baptist Church.
Martha will be dearly missed by her surviving relatives, including her son Ronnie and his wife, Cindy Lee, daughter Rebecca Lee and her husband, Wayne Ward, grandchildren, James Lee, Jamie Lobdell, Kayla Petibon, Amanda Hearnberger, several extended grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and her sister Wanda and her husband, Jesse Silvas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dalton Duffee, and an infant daughter, son Jerry Wayne Lee, two grandsons Jerry Wayne Lee Jr. and Christopher Lee, and a great grandson Braydon, brother,"Bubbie" Bishop
A graveside service in memory of Martha's life will be held at the Cuthand Cemetery on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 11:00 am. Prior to the service, a public viewing will take place at the Wood-Haggard Funeral Home in Bogata on Monday evening, 6:00 to 8:00 PM September 2, 2024.
Martha's commitment to her family, her unwavering spirit, and her gentle nature will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace as she reunites with her loved ones who have gone before her.
