Mrs. Mary Ellen Kain age 93 of Bogata died Friday July 20.2018 in Heritage Nursing Home in Paris. Funeral services will be 10 am Monday, July 23 in First Baptist Church of Bogata with Dr Charles Ashby and Rev George Spears officiating. Burial will be in Cuthand Cemetery under direction of Wood Funeral Homes. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Williams; Cody Williams; Kristopher Schneider; Travis Allen Foster; Robert John; and Jake Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Aaden Williams, Brandon Williams , Kingstan Kain, Stephen Schneider, Ethan Schneider, Rock Houstoun, Liam Curtis Foster, and Matthew Charles Foster The family will receive friends 8-9pm Sunday at the funeral home. She was born on November 21, 1924 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Robert Allen and Clara Mattie Cole Jones. She married Richard [Dick] Kain on July 11, 1952. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1997. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Bogata. She is survived by her children: Donna Louise John of Dallas; Sons, Ronald Curtis {Butch} Foster and wife Cathy Aileen Josey Foster of Euless, and James Allen {Jim} Kain and wife, Carolyn of Powderly; one sister, Ruth Stephens of Dallas; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. Donations may be made in Mary Ellen Kain’s name to the First Baptist Church of Bogata, 801 N. Main Street, Bogata, TX 75417.
