Meryl Marris

Mrs. Myrle Marris, age 83 of Bogata died Monday March 14, 2011 in Regency Healthcare and Rehab in Clarksville. Funeral services will be 2pm Wed March 16 in Cuthand United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Morris Chapel Cemeteryunder direction of Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 7-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home as well as at the cemetery following the graveside rites. Mrs. Marris was born May 7, 1927 in Deport the daughter of Jefferson Davis and Lottie Harbison Green. She married Roy Marris Jan 5, 1945 in Clarksville.She was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church of Bogata where she taught Sunday School and was a G.A. leader for many years. She enjoyed painting and decorating. She was preceded in death by a son Dwight Marris on April 21, 1979. She is survived by her husband Roy Marris of Bogata, one daughter Donna McClendon and husband Larry of Alford Texas, a son Dicky Marris and wife Liz of Jasper; six grandchildren, Ike, Troy, Jeff, Melaney, Natalie and Brennan and eight great grandchildren.
