Michael Wayne Young, age 66 of Longview, died on November 9, 2012 in Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at 3:00pm at McCrury Cemetery in Red River County, Texas, with Bro. Don Cocklin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:30-2:30pm and will leave in procession for the Cemetery. Wood Funeral Homes of Bogata, Texas have charge of the arrangements. He was born on November 19, 1945 in Wichita Falls, Texas; the son of James Thomas and Marie Gurvis Herbert Young. He worked for Central States Truck Line and Jones Truck Line as a Dock Foreman for many years. He was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran. He is survived by his daughters: Melissa Shnaper of Carthage, Texas; Darla Cumer of St. Martinville, Louisiana, and Kelly Young Barnes of New Jersey; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sister, Theresa King and husband Gary of Tatum; niece Bridget Turlington and husband, Glen and nephew, Jamie King all of Tatum; several great nieces and great nephews; many cousins and friends.
