Mr. Willie Lee

Mr. Willie Lee, age 94 of Bogata died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 pm, Friday, April 6 at First Baptist Church of Bogata with Rev. Billy Daniels officiating. Interment will be at East Post Oak Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Homes. Visitation will be 1-2pm Friday at the church. Mr. Lee was born January 24, 1918 in Milton, Texas the son of James Thomas and Lizzie Cleo Turner Lee. On November 7, 1946, he married Julia Vaughdean McNabb in Post Oak. She preceded him in death on November 27, 2001. He was a veteran of WWII, U.S. Army, 601 Field Artillery, stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado and served in Germany. In 1991 he retired from Rivercrest ISD were he worked as a Maintenance Engineer for 34 years. He was also a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bogata where he was a deacon. His survivors include his three children: Brenda Lee of Paris; James R. Lee and wife, Leah of Bogata; and Edwin Lee and wife, Candy of the community of English, Tx; one grandson, Daniel Lee and wife Jennifer of Bogata; a step-granddaughter, Brittany Bull of Garland, Tx ; one great-granddaughter, Savannah Sanborn of Niceville, Florida and two sisters, Ellen Tuck of Bogata and Ora Blassingame of Ft.
