Nancy Ruth (Ragsdill) Bowden

Nancy Ruth Ragsdill Bowden - age 94; a native of Bogata, Texas and a resident of Saraland, Alabama died Monday, January 12, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Bowden was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Billy Gene Bowden; her father, James Edward Ragsdill; her mother, Hattie Lee Bryson Ragsdill; and her siblings, William Andrew Ragsdill, Martha Emily Ragsdill Freeman, Cornelia Ann Ragsdill Barker Dickey, and Paul Wayne Ragsdill, Sr.

She is survived by five children, Linda Bowden Cozart, Robert "Bobby" William Bowden (Barbara), Nancy Susan Toomey (Tom P.), Judith "Judi" Bowden Sard Smith (Randy), and Edward "Eddie" Austin Bowden, Sr. (Linda); thirteen grandchildren, Shawn Cozart (Jennifer), Malcah Cozart Ingoldsby (John), Ryan Cozart (Rena), Angela Bowden Angell Galloway (Danny), Tim Phillips (Cindy), Jessica Phillips Kiper (Daniel), Julia Phillips Owen (Daniel), Jeremy Sard (Susan), Leigh Ann Sard Spann (Michael), Austin Bowden (Kaleigh), Danielle Bowden Worosher (Tanner), Caroline Bowden, and Phillip Bowden; twenty-seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, three brothers, John Lee Ragsdill (Wanda), James E. Ragsdill, and Jack Ragsdill (Judy); nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in Bogata Cemetery, Bogata, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rolling Hills Youth Camp Fund or the Mission Fund at Wilson Avenue Baptist Church.
