Nancy Lorene Brown

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the upcoming funeral services for Nancy Lorene Brown, a beloved member of the Bogata community. Born on October 9, 1940, in Bogata, TX, Nancy passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024, at her home from complication of diabetes . She was a dedicated employee at Owens Jewelers and Alexander Jewelers in Texarkana for nearly three decades, she was also a licensed pearl stringer showcasing her talent and creativity in every piece she crafted.

Nancy's passion for life extended beyond her work; she found joy in playing bingo, tending to her garden, and sharing her culinary skills in the kitchen. Her love for family was evident in everything she did, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her surviving relatives: her son Tony Brown and his wife Michele, daughter Sharon Jones and her husband Jimmy, grandchildren Brandy and Jon Friedler, Dustin and Kay Jones, Madison Brown and Logan Brown; great-grandchildren, Zayden and Zander Jones and Quentin Friedler, and sisters Nell Barkley, Imogene Hutson, and Gayle Roach.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerald Wayne Brown, grandson Matthew Jones, and two siblings, Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and devotion. The family will receive friends at the Wood Haggard Funeral Home on Saturday March 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Immediately following the visitation a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM.

The final disposition and burial of Nancy Lorene Brown will take place on March 4, 2024, at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens where she will find eternal rest. Let us come together to celebrate her life, share cherished memories, and find solace in the legacy she leaves behind. Rest in peace, Nancy, you will be dearly missed.
