Rev Charles R Austin age 69 of Bogata died at his residence Sat April 28 Funeral services will be 2pm Tues May 1 at New Beginnings Church in Bogata with Rev Bob Allmon officiating Burial will be in Bogata Cemetery under direction of Wood Funeral Home The family will receive friends 7-8 pm Monday at the funeral home Rev Austin was born June 9,1942 in Southlake Texas the son of Charles Estell and Margarite Russell Austin. He worked for over 37 years for General Motors and was an evangelist for over 30 years in the Ft Worth area and served a number of churches as assistant pastor. In 1990 he married the former Vada Clark in Marietta Oklahoma. In 1996 he and his wife formed the New Beginnings church in Bogata where he pastored until his death. He is survived by his wife, Vada Austin of Bogata two sons Charles D Austin and wife Teresa of Joshua Tex, and Christopher Lee Austin of Sunset Texas, a daughter Cristy Warden and husband James of Saginaw Tex, a stepson Albie Lee Ring of North Richland Hills, and two stepdaughters Anita Blakley of Euless Texas and Alisa Tatum and husband Shaun of Arlington; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren
