God gained another angel, Rose Anna Bariekman of Bogata, Texas, Saturday, February 29, 2020. She was truly an Angel, a gift from God, an amazingly strong woman with the biggest heart who would help anyone and literally would give you the clothes off her back, give you the last dollar to help. She sacrificed so much for her kid’s happiness never putting herself first. This woman was my everything, my best friend, she was my hero, and I call her mom.
Rose was born in Bug Tussle, Texas on July 16, 1956. She spent most of her life in Iowa, she attended Mason City Schools. She retired from the State of Iowa where she worked in the Comptrollers office. After moving to Bogata a year ago, Anna worked at the Stop N Start in the meat market.
Rose is survived by her three children, Rebecca and Tim Smith of De Moines, Iowa, Rob and Amanda Tesmond of Naperville, Illinois, and Chad Bradford of Des Moines, Iowa; six grandchildren, Daniel Ogden, Nate Ogden, Destiney Ogden, Zoey Bradford, Clayton Evans and Jerimiah Bradford; one brother, Terry Hewitt of Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Owens and Beatrice Pool, one sister and three brothers: and her life partner, Dave Letz.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Wood Funeral Home in Bogata. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening, March 3, 2020 at the funeral home.
