Rubben Summerford

Rubben Summerford, age 76 of Cuthand, died in East Texas Medical Center of Clarksville, Sunday January 6, 2013. Funeral Services have been scheduled for 3:00pm on Thursday, January 10 at the First Baptist Church in Bogata. Burial will follow in Cuthand Cemetery. Wood Funeral Homes have charge of the arrangements. Mr. Summerford was born on September 26, 1936 in Section, Alabama, the son of William and Viola A. Moore Summerford. He married Gladys Marie Henderson on December 30, 1958. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2011. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Rubben Rayford Summerford. Survivors include his children: Merita Ann Reese of Cuthand; Frida Cunningham of Livingston, Rubben Summerford, Jr. and Harlan Ray Summerford both of Bogata; sister, Carolyn Lopez and husband Bobby of Houston; brothers, Joe Summerford of Arkansas and Lonnie Summerford of Houston; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Nicholas, Michael, Chelsie Daniel, Mathew, Teresa, Angela, Elizabeth, Cody, Jasmine, Lane, Samantha, Savannah, Patsy, Cassidy, Elmer, Steve III, and Serenity.
