Ruth Evelyn (Moore) Eudy

Ruth Evelyn Eudy, known to her family and friends as Evelyn, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in Paris, Texas. She was born on October 6, 1934 in Red River County, Texas, the daughter of Chalmer and Essie (Horton) Moore.

Evelyn was a seamstress for Hollywood Vasserette in Paris where she was a supervisor; she was an avid housewife, seamstress and quilter.  She loved her family dearly. She survived hard times in her life with her family.  Evelyn loved her flowers and butterflies.

Evelyn leaves her children, Kitty and Benny Mays and Justin and Brenda Eudy; grandchildren, Jennifer, Shelby, Joel, Christy, Staci and Stephanie; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Janie Belcher and Marilyn Nass; numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Eudy; sons, Roger, Nathan, and Nicky; brothers, Hulan, Hollis, Donnie, and Dadie; sisters, Carolyn McIntosh and Barbara Freeman.

Services for Evelyn will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Wood-Haggard Chapel in Bogata.  Interment will be at the Cuthand Cemetery.
