Thomas Gordon DeBerry

Funeral services for Thomas Gordon DeBerry, 87,of Deport, Texas are scheduled for February 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church, Bogata, TX.  Interment to follow at the Bogata Cemetery with Jerry McCoy and Shorty Bishop officiating under the direction of Wood Funeral Home in Bogata. The family will receive friends February 15, 2019 from 5-7:00 pm in the chapel at Wood Funeral Home.

Thomas was born July 3, 1931 in Bogata, TX to Gordon DeBerry and Maggie (Stone) DeBerry and passed away February 13, 2019 in Paris, TX. On March 22, 1953, he married Elizabeth Ann Oliver in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his best friend, Speck Edwards, there to witness.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas DeBerry II (Son), Beth Hopkins (Daughter), David DeBerry (Son), Cliff Hopkins (Grandson), Edward DeBerry (Brother).

Survivors include Elizabeth Ann DeBerry, his wife of 65 years, Bill DeBerry (Son), Amy Carter (Granddaughter), Angela DeBerry (Granddaughter), Rachel Martelle (Granddaughter) as well as seven great grandchildren and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Chris Alford, Monte Allums, Ryan Ballard, Dawson Butler, Aaron Sessums, Thomas Stidham.
